Wired magazine has an interesting article about how virtual sets are about to revolutionise Hollywood. Directors are using virtual worlds to blur the line between animation and live action, virtual sets and physical sets, photorealistic cartoons and motion-captured human beings. Zoic Studios working with developer Guerrilla Games have created a unique game advert. Using the graphics engine employed by the PS3 console the advert features footage of a Killzone 2 battlefield and the path of a bullet travelling through the scene. Later this month the fully interactive version of the advert will be available for download. Lasting three minutes this will allow players to wander through the advert in real-time and enjoy the thrill of being 'inside' the battle.
